Midnight Monday
Alexi:
This is Annie, the proud great-grandmother of five kittens from Binky. Also on the right is Molly, the proud grandmother! Binky also had two new howse panthers!
New babies!
Concatulations to Binky who gave birth to five kittens last night. Molly is the grandmother and Annie is the great-grandmother! Mom is well as are kittens. This is Binky's first litter and she is so uncertain as to what to do. Purrs and purrayers are most certainly welcum. Midnight is the proud father and is passing out catnip ceegars!
Cat show results
I did not get a single final at the cat show--however, I did do better than another of my own breed at the show...the other Russian was grumpy about having to be there, so the judges liked my better behavior.
Howsehold pets were shown as well as some up for adoption. They did extremely well and found new beans to take them. Amazingly one of the ones taken was a kitty born with no eyes! I'm glad they found loving homes.

Midnight Monday
This is Mallory. She likes the porch where it's nice and sunny! She got her name from an early English mountain climber of the 1920s who attempted to summit Everest. Mommy and Daddy were going to call her Everest but they discovered the climber and like that name better. Mallory had a penchant for climbing things when she was a kitten.

Meme Monday
Meme Monday:
While I was asleep yesterday, The Cat Realm tagged me for a meme. My first! This is what I received: "The guidelines for this tag:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules
2. Write some facts about yourself: some random, some weird, some just plain fun.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post and list their names (linking to them)
4. Let those 7 people know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs. The challenge is to keep it interesting without making the reader think “Um, too much information…"
1. I like to sleep on top of Mom and Dad's clock radio.
2. My purr is soft and constant--when I'm happy.
3. I drink water out of the lavatory while it's running. I have a daughter and a castlemate who try to do it at the same time.
4. I seek out high places such as the top of doors.
5. If you scratch the base of my tail, I'll lick your nose.
6.I lay on towels while Dad's showering.
7. I'm a technocat...I try to get the computer's CD drawer while it's opening or closing.
I tag William of Mass Destruction, Bonnie Underfoot and Victor Tabbycat, Chey's Place, Grr, Midnight, and Cocoa.

Kitten on the keys
Alexi says:
When I was young, I was quite musical. I loved tone clusters and especially enjoyed how dissonant a chord I could make. Horowitz and Rubinstein had nothing on me. Dad called me "Horrorwitz."

Ayla has gone to the Rainbow Bridge
Alexi says:
We didn't know Ayla but are sorry to hear of her going to the Bridge. We send love and purrayers for her family.
The Last Battle" - Author Unknown
If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.
You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.
We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.
Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Evita's birthday!
We take a pause in this remembrance weekend for Evita's birfday announcement. We were not originally going to post until Monday, honoring those kitties who, sadly, made their way to the Bridge. However, we decided to post, as birfdays are always times to be celebrated. So happy birfday today to my furvorite half-sister Evita! She was the Castle's first Russian Blue. Mommy and Daddy are going to get her something today. Cake, ice cream, tunee, salmon, chiken, and ham will be served later so come by!
