Easy Like Sunday morning

Binky is the repurrter for today in absence of Alexi.

Alexi and Mombean are at a cat show in Louisville, Kentucky. Any blogging kitties or beans should go by to see them today. It's at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center; 937 Phillips Ln, Louisville KY. Mombean and Alexi will be home tomorrow. The above demonstrates my plan for easy like Sunday morning.

Look how the spotlight is shining on me! Okay, it's the sun, but still it's bright. Mombean, where's my shades?

Hymn for this weekend-Easy like Sunday

Alexi says:

Mombean felt particularly moved by this hymn text today at the steeple place.

While life's dark maze I tread,
and griefs around me spread,
be Thou my guide;
bid darkness turn to day;

wipe sorrow's tears away,
nor let me ever stray
from thee aside.

Gone Violet for Sprout, Felix and Maxime

We have gone violet for Violette, Felix, and Maxime,
dear friends who have left us too soon.
Sprout will be laid to rest this morning at 9.a.m. EDT.  We plan to pause for a moment of silence for her and for these other friends.
These candles are lit in remembrance of them along with our other
friends and family who have passed over to the other shore.
We give thanks for the Cat Blogosphere who show us not only
how to live but  how to show love for our fellow beings.

In loving memory of Felix

In loving memory of Felix Unger Graves III, we at Krasota Castle have lit a candle and remembered him in a moment of silence. Our hearts go out to those he left behind. We will see you at the Bridge, dear Felix.

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

In Memoriam, Monty Q's sibling, Violette Noelle

All of us have leaky eyes today as our friend, Violette Noelle,  also known as Sprout, fell.  She recovered somewhat then overnight, but then her little heart stopped and she has gone to Heaven.   Please pray and purr for her family.  She left us way too soon.
Oh Sprout, I was so looking forward to seeing you.  I am real sad.  I will purray and purr for your fambly.

Easy like Sunday morning

Not only is a ham-mick comfy, we also like the cat tree!

Several us can lie on top and spread out wif our friends.

It also has little cubicles where we can have our own private space.

This is the only way to rest (for me)!
Get that flashy box out of my face.
I'm trying to sleep, go away.

I like to lay on top and enjoy the view.

I have all this space all to myself!
I may spend all Sunday up here. You haf to find your own space to sleep.

Everyone loves the hammock. It's important to have one that can accomodate all who want to use it.

Easy like Sunday morning

It's fun to lay in a hammock on a hazy, lazy, hot Sunday. Better if you're indoors!
