When a pet is ill;
We see the memories
And our tears begin to spill.
The Lord is good we know,
To animals as well as men
And must remind ourselves
That one day we'll see them again.
We know our pet has crossed the Bridge
And is on the other shore.
They're playing with other friends,
And waiting for us to come o'er.
When that day must come
For you and for me;
Then we'll see our lovely pet
And we'll rejoice with family.
