We are so happy to receive the following awards from Jan's Funny Farm. Our first! We at the Castle in turn would like to award them to the entire Cat Blogosphere for their concern during Annie's absence. As far as we're concerned you all are a part of our extended family. Annie's home!!!! YAY!

Annie's home!!!!! We are sooo happy! A little skinnier but fine! A report from Mombean:

I set out dry and moist for Annie's dinner around 5 PM as she had been coming around in the evenings for dinner. I then sat on the porch steps and waited..... and called her name ....... and waited........ and waited....................
FINALLY after about 30 minutes of waiting in the cold, Annie came around. I sat quietly sitting and watched her eat. S-L-O-W-L-Y I got closer to her and stretched out my hand to Annie. She came closer and let me stroke her head. Then I picked her up and brought her inside to the kitchen. She did not struggle when I got her. Now, Blu Cat Man is holding her and snuggling her as we all missed her sooo very much. THANK YOU all for your prayers and thoughts for her to come home!!

Another Annie sighting this evening!

Hi All,
Mombean has some more good news! She went out on the porch off the kitchen to check the laundry. She looked out the screen window and guess who was sitting there eating her dry food ?? Annie !! NO DOUBT about it. Mombean saw her, spoke her name, and opened the porch door.
She immediately ran away but we know she is not far away. Mombean put out more dry food and water for her. Now, if she will learn to trust us again so she will want to come in where it is warm! It will be getting colder here over the next few days.

Update--Annie sighting

Mombean and the Blu Cat Man have news to report about Annie. She was sighted this evening! They had been out and before going into the house, they called and heard Annie's typical greeting. They saw an outline of a cat on top of the trash roll cart who jumped down under the outside table. Mombean ran in and turned on the spotlights and the Blu Cat Man saw Annie with her collar. He made the mistake of approaching and she ran. They've put out her favorite salmon and dry food. We hope this might lure her back home.

We're still purring and purraying for Annie and Maobert to come home to their families. We are sure we speak for Maobert's family in that we cannot begin to express our amazement (though we shouldn't be surprised) at the outpouring of concern and compassion from the Cat Blogosphere kitties and beans. We at the Castle cannot express the comfort we have felt from your prayers and purrs nor our gratitude. You don't know what a blessing you are. We love Poppy Q's idea for a feline Amber Alert. We are hoping Annie will return and believe she will. We pray that Maobert will return to his family. We will keep you posted and love you all. Purrs and headbumpies from us and hugs from our beans.

Mao, please come home and escort Annie home, too

Our furriend, Mao, is missing. We hope he will find his way home and escort our Annie to the Castle. Mao, your furriends miss you!
